On December 6 we will provide our annual Christmas Banquet to 130 inmates and their family members.
The heart of this banquet is to serve these families as if we were serving Christ himself. With your help we will be able to give a gift bag for each inmate full of necessary items that they are forced to buy from the canteen. By receiving these gift bags, they will be financially ahead for the next month. We serve a home made turkey dinner family style at each table with all of the fix-ens. Every child (no matter how old) is given a gift from their dad. The gift exchange is a private moment for the family around the Christmas tree. This evening allows families to begin the reconciliation process and provides a special memory for the children. Our hope is, for those few hours, these families forget they are in prison and they feel the love of Christ surrounding them.
A great way to helps is to hold a food drive at your church or school, or make a personal donation either financially or of any of the items listed below. Contact Jeff Hord by email here to let him know what item(s) you are donating and to arrange delivery.
